10 Must-Do Cars Land Experiences for the 10th Anniversary

Ka-chow! Cars Land is celebrating 10 years of racing fun, nostalgia, and immersive storytelling at Disney California Adventure! Since opening on June 15, 2012, this 12-acre land has brought Radiator Springs to life like never before. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or the tenth, now is the perfect time to rev up your visit with these top 10 ways to celebrate the Cars Land 10th Anniversary.

Lightning McQueen and Mater

1. Meet Lightning McQueen and Mater

Head over to the Cozy Cone Motel to meet the stars of Cars themselves. Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater love meeting fans and taking photos—don’t miss the chance to park alongside them!

2. Grab a Tow Mater Premium Bucket

Snag the limited-edition Tow Mater premium popcorn bucket, available at Flo’s V8 Café, Fillmore’s Taste-In, or the Cozy Cone Motel. These are sure to sell out, so grab one while you can!

3. Snap a Pic with Guido

New for the anniversary: Guido is now parked outside Luigi’s Casa Della Tires for his outdoor photo debut. He’s ready for his close-up and a friendly “Buongiorno!”

Radiator Springs Racers

4. Race Through Radiator Springs

Radiator Springs Racers is still the land’s crown jewel. This high-speed adventure blends immersive storytelling with thrilling track action and gorgeous views of Ornament Valley.

Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters

5. Dance with Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters

Board one of Luigi’s dancing roadsters and take a spin on this trackless ride system—the first of its kind in any U.S. Disney park. Each ride features a different Italian dance track!

Sarge’s Surplus Hut in Cars Land

6. Shop Exclusive Souvenirs

Swing by Sarge’s Surplus Hut and Ramone’s House of Body Art for anniversary pins, themed toys, and unique merchandise only available in Cars Land.

Radiator Springs at Sunset

7. Catch Radiator Springs at Sunset

As the sky darkens, the neon lights flicker to life in one of the most magical moments in the park. Look for the “Sh-boom” moment and bask in 1950s Route 66 vibes.

8. Refuel at Flo’s V8 Café

Hungry? Grab a Ka-Cheeseburger, fried chicken, or a classic milkshake topped with “road gravel” cookie crumbles. Use mobile order in the Disneyland app to save time!

10. Sightsee the Cadillac Range

Take a moment to appreciate the scenic Cadillac Range in the background. Each peak represents a vintage Cadillac tail fin from 1957–1962. Fun fact: this range offers one of the best photo ops in the park!

Bonus: Celebrate at Home with Disney Paper Parks

If you can’t make it to Radiator Springs, bring it to you! Download the #DisneyPaperParks activity set and build a 3D version of Cars Land using scissors, glue, and creativity.
