A Milestone Year for the Magic

Michael Eisner opens the 20th Annual Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade, welcoming viewers with warm holiday wishes and setting the tone for a magical broadcast.

Robin Roberts joins returning hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa live from the Magic Kingdom. Meanwhile, the celebration also honors Mickey Mouse’s 75th birthday, adding an extra layer of nostalgia to the festivities.

Star-Studded Musical Guests

The 2003 parade featured a wide range of musical performances from across the parks:

• Clay Aiken kicks off the parade with a festive performance.
• Jessica Simpson and Enrique Iglesias add pop-star power.

• Raven-Symoné, Christy Carlson Romano, Anneliese van der Pol, and Orlando Brown bring Disney Channel cheer.

• Carlos Ponce, Jump 5, and Bear in the Big Blue House entertain families.
• Rascal Flatts deliver country-flavored holiday tunes.
• Wayne Brady returns for more holiday fun and a performance.

Park Spotlights and Special Guests

The program includes festive updates and segments from all over Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

To begin, Star Jones checks in from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where Tarzan Rocks! just began performances.  Meanwhile, Lance Bass reports from Epcot, showcasing the thrills of the new Mission: SPACE attraction.

Additionally, Florence Henderson and TV’s Brady Bunch cast take viewers on a special holiday-themed tour of Disney MGM Studios.

At the same time, Miss America Ericka Dunlap explores Disney’s Pop Century Resort, celebrating the spirit of Magical Gatherings.  Furthermore, Michelle Kwan gives a holiday greeting from the new Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

Disneyland & A Haunted Holiday

Over in California, George Lopez joins from Disneyland, presenting the Disneyland Christmas Fantasy Parade.

A highlight this year is the debut of the Haunted Mansion Parade Float, themed to promote the recently released Haunted Mansion movie starring Eddie Murphy. Notably, clips from the film are featured alongside the float’s spooky holiday flair.
