A Festive Tradition Rooted in History
Since 1959, the Dapper Dans have charmed guests on Main Street, U.S.A., with their nostalgic barbershop harmonies. Their creation, inspired by Disneyland’s early Director of Entertainment Chuck Corson under Tommy Walker, was part of Walt Disney’s vision to keep guests entertained throughout their park day. What started with local talent and a Disney songbook became a beloved tradition.

Pinstripes and Holiday Cheer
As the holidays arrive, the Dapper Dans transform their usual a cappella set into the Dapper Dans Christmas Show, bringing added warmth and cheer to Disneyland. Dressed in festive pinstripes, straw hats, and taps, the quartet delights crowds with seasonal classics and Disney favorites.
A Magical Setting in Town Square
The performances often take place in Town Square, adding to the park’s nostalgic charm. During the holidays, this area becomes even more magical—with the giant Christmas tree lit, a horse-drawn trolley rolling by, and the flicker of lights glowing from Walt Disney’s apartment above the fire station. During Christmastime, the iconic light in Walt’s window is replaced with a small Christmas tree—a heartfelt seasonal tribute.

Starting the Season with Song
There’s no better way to kick off your Disneyland holiday visit than enjoying the Dapper Dans in Town Square. Their harmonies, set against the backdrop of decorated Main Street, set the tone for a day filled with festive joy.
