It’s time to ring in the season, and there is no better way than with a Disneyland Christmas parade. The 2016 Christmas Fantasy Parade brought festive cheer to Main Street USA, with a long list of Disney characters joining Santa for a merry musical celebration.

From prancing reindeer to marching toy soldiers and dancing gingerbread cookies, it truly began to look a lot like Christmas at Disneyland Park.

Parade Highlights and Magical Moments

If you’re used to Walt Disney World’s parade style, you may notice a key difference here: Disneyland allows guest crossings at the front of Main Street USA. This results in longer breaks between parade units, which gives you more time to snap those perfect photos between the floats.

Here are a few of the highlights from the 2016 parade:

• Anna, Elsa, and Olaf offer a warm winter welcome from their magical Frozen float.
• Mickey and Minnie, joined by Chip ‘n’ Dale, organize an avalanche of letters to Santa.
• Woody and Buzz Lightyear wave from atop giant wooden blocks and Christmas toys.
• Disney Princesses take center stage, dancing and curtsying at the Candlelight Ball.
• Santa Claus closes the parade in his sleigh, waving cheerfully to guests with a bag full of toys.
