During a special preview, we got an up-close look at the in-world merchandise that allows guests to extend their journey beyond Batuu. From handcrafted lightsabers to interactive droids, every piece of merchandise serves a purpose within the Star Wars universe.
Build Your Legacy: Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot
One of the most exciting retail experiences in Galaxy’s Edge is Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. Hidden away in the Black Spire Outpost, this is where Force-sensitive travelers can choose their kyber crystal and assemble a lightsaber in a secret ceremony guided by the mysterious Gatherers.
Nearby, at Droid Depot, guests build their own custom astromech droids—either R-series or BB-series—choosing from a variety of parts that bring these mechanical companions to life. Once completed, the droids interact with the land using Bluetooth technology, responding to their surroundings and even each other.
“The products are more than souvenirs—they’re extensions of your journey,” shared one Galaxy’s Edge merchandising expert. “You’re not just buying a toy; you’re crafting your character.”
Authentic, Exclusive, and Out-of-This-Galaxy
Everything in Galaxy’s Edge is themed to perfection. The retail stalls in the Marketplace—including Toydarian Toymaker, Creature Stall, and Black Spire Outfitters—offer goods created as if they came straight from the Star Wars galaxy. You won’t find “Star Wars” logos on these items. Instead, it’s all about immersion.
From robes and tunics to handcrafted plush toys and out of this world creatures, the merchandise supports the idea that you’re on Batuu, not in a theme park gift shop.
