Welcome to Walt Disney World Resort
You made it! You’re finally at the Walt Disney World Resort, and if you’re anything like me, you first turn on the in-room TV.
Where’s Stacey?
For years, turning on the resort TV channel meant one thing—Must Do Disney with Stacey J. Aswad. Her energy, iconic lines, and countdown of top attractions made it a tradition. But by July 2021, things had changed.
A New Look for Resort TV
Gone are the neon graphics, the bubbly narration, and Stacey’s signature enthusiasm. In their place is a polished, modern welcome loop: “Welcome to Walt Disney World Resort.” It’s professional, but the charm of the old format is noticeably missing.
This full recording shows how Must Do Disney looked in July 2021, when the format quietly shifted away from its classic vibe.
Is This the End of an Era?
Whether you’re team Stacey or miss the nostalgic feel of early Disney resort TV, this version is a clear departure. It’s more informational and less entertainment-focused. No catchy jingles. No top 7 countdowns. Just the basics.
Will Stacey ever return? Only time will tell. But one thing is sure—Disney in-room television will never be quite the same again.
Thanks for watching. As always, be sure to subscribe for more Walt Disney World memories and updates.
