From Star Tours to the DJ Booth
You may know him as DJ R-3X, the high-energy DJ entertaining guests daily inside Oga’s Cantina on Batuu. But his journey through the galaxy has been anything but ordinary.

Before taking up his post in the cantina, R-3X—formerly known as RX-24—had quite the career. He once piloted the Star Commuter 2000 along the Lothal-to-Garel route. Sound familiar? That same droid later went on to pilot the Star Speeder 3000 for Star Tours. Yep… that RX-24.
Of course, things didn’t go smoothly. After yet another crash-landing—this time on Batuu—our wayward pilot was salvaged and reprogrammed by Mubo, the friendly face behind Mubo’s Droid Depot. With a bit of personality tweak and a lot of sound upgrades, RX-24 became DJ R-3X.
Settling Debts with Oga
Mubo wasn’t just feeling generous—he owed a favor (and some credits) to Oga Garra, the powerful and mysterious owner of Oga’s Cantina. To settle his debt, Mubo handed over the reprogrammed droid. Now spinning beats instead of navigating asteroids, DJ R-3X brings energy, humor, and a healthy dose of nostalgia to the cantina experience.

If you listen closely, especially when the system powers up or resets, you may catch a few familiar phrases from his Star Tours days—“I meant to do that!” or even a shout-out to Lightspeed to Endor.
Watch the Full Hour Inside Oga’s Cantina
This episode of SamsDisneyDiary gives you a full hour inside Oga’s Cantina, featuring DJ R-3X in his new environment, complete with sights, sounds, and droid-fueled grooves. Believe it or not, this isn’t even the full loop—but it’s an immersive trip to the galaxy’s most infamous watering hole nonetheless.
