The Disney Enchantment premiere was a historic moment at Walt Disney World Resort, captured during a special media preview event on September 30, 2021—the eve of the resort’s 50th Anniversary. This new nighttime spectacular lit up the skies over Magic Kingdom Park, officially ushering in The World’s Most Magical Celebration.

As guests gathered, Christina Aguilera made a special appearance, followed by a rededication moment led by Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Executive Chairman Bob Iger. For the first time ever, Cinderella Castle transformed into a “Beacon of Magic,” part of a four-park celebration that would span 18 magical months.

A Nighttime Spectacle Like No Other

Disney Enchantment adds a brand-new chapter to the 50-year tradition of nighttime shows at the Magic Kingdom. More than just fireworks, the show combines immersive projection effects, stunning pyrotechnics, and a moving original soundtrack to create an unforgettable experience.

For the first time, projections extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A., making the entire park part of the spectacle. This enhanced storytelling pulls guests into the heart of Disney magic from the moment it begins.

 You Are the Magic

The show’s musical foundation is the emotional anthem “You Are the Magic,” written and performed by Philip Lawrence, a multi-GRAMMY® winner and former Walt Disney World cast member. His song captures the core message of Disney Enchantment—that the power to believe and make dreams come true lives within us all.

As the music soars, guests are taken on a visual journey through both classic and contemporary Disney and Pixar films, including:

• Moana setting sail across the sea
• Aladdin soaring above the clouds
• Princess Tiana, Miguel, Rapunzel, and Onward’s Ian and Barley forging their dreams
• Joe Gardner from Soul performing in “the zone,” complete with Mary Blair-inspired visuals
• Appearances by characters from Alice in Wonderland, Luca, Beauty and the Beast, Wreck-It Ralph, and more

The Magic Lives Inside

The emotional finale is a crescendo of light, sound, and story. As the final notes play, Tinker Bell takes flight, soaring over the park and spreading shimmering gold pixie dust—reminding every guest that the magic has always lived inside them.

“Disney Enchantment” is more than a fireworks show—it’s an immersive celebration of the imagination, heart, and courage that define Disney storytelling. And it’s only the beginning of what’s in store during the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
