Disney KiteTails Lion King Roars to Life at Animal Kingdom
As part of Walt Disney Worldโs 50th Anniversary Celebration, Disney KiteTails debuted at Disneyโs Animal Kingdom, offering daytime entertainment unlike before at the parks.
Performed multiple times daily at the Discovery River Theater, this Lion King-themed show is one of two rotating KiteTails performancesโthe other being themed to The Jungle Book.
Giant Lion King Kites Soar Above Discovery River
In this 10-minute production, vibrant 3D kites of Simba, Zazu, Pumbaa, and Timon soar through the air while being pulled by jet skis across the water. As they glide, a medley of Lion King music fills the theater, including Circle of Life, I Just Canโt Wait to Be King, and Hakuna Matata.
On land, performers wave windcatchers and animated kites, adding extra motion and color to the lively soundtrack.
