In my last blog and video, I took a tour of Port Orleans Riverside, which, in my opinion, is the best moderate resort in Walt Disney World. With features such as boat rentals, a campfire, a fishing hole, ‘Ol Man Island, bike rentals, a large arcade, and a full marina, Riverside offers amenities typically found at deluxe resorts—at a moderate price.
Inside the River Roost Lounge
The River Roost at Port Orleans Riverside is home to Yehaa Bob Wednesday through Saturday. Starting around 8:30 p.m., this is where you’ll find the one and only “Yehaa” Bob Jackson. Bob has been playing his custom ragtime piano since 1997. He’s not only a master of ragtime music but also a master of audience participation. If you’re looking for a “Yehaa” of a good time, this is the place to be.

Earlier this year (2013), Yehaa Bob Jackson received the prestigious Walt Disney Legacy Award—the highest honor a Disney Cast Member can receive. The award is given for keeping the magic alive through exemplary performance and dedication to Walt Disney’s ideals.
What to Expect at the Show
The show, which is divided into three sets, kicks off around 8:30 p.m. and wraps up around 11:45 p.m. Bob mingles with guests around 8:15, taking requests and celebrating birthdays or special occasions. He’s always happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs during breaks.

If you’re staying at Riverside and returning from the parks, this show is a perfect nightcap. You’ll hear songs like “Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes” early in the night, and “Piano Man” or “I Like Beer” in the final set. Audience participation is the rule, not the exception. It’s loud, fun, and full of laughs.
Plan Your Evening at Port Orleans
The River Roost Lounge is next to the River Mill Food Court. You can grab your resort mug or even bring food into the lounge. It’s a full-service bar offering appetizers, drink specials, and Tables in Wonderland discounts. Arrive early if you want a good seat.

Not staying at Riverside? No problem. Take a Sasagoula River boat from Disney Springs or catch a resort bus. If driving, tell the guard you’re visiting Yehaa Bob. Transportation is complimentary, and the experience is unforgettable.
A Must-Do Disney Experience
The best part? There’s no additional charge for the show. Whether you’re a resort guest or just visiting, Yehaa Bob is a must-do at Walt Disney World. Check his latest schedule at yehaabob.com where you’ll also find CDs and T-shirts.

Of course, I had my video gear ready to capture one of Bob’s legendary first sets. There’s nothing like being there in person, but if you’re curious, check out my video below. Close your eyes and let Bob take you back to the River Roost—just like he has for so many unforgettable nights.
