Festival of Fantasy Parade – A FastPass+ Front Row View 2014

With all the excitement around Walt Disney World’s evolving attractions, few things capture the park’s energy quite like the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Thanks to FastPass+ reserved viewing, I had the best seat in the house—right in front of Cinderella Castle—without sacrificing hours of park time waiting for the perfect parade spot. Fire-breathing dragons, dazzling floats, and royal fanfare were all front and center.

FastPass+ Tips for Parade Fans

I’m not media. I don’t get press access. I’m just a Disney fan, like you, looking for ways to maximize park time. Enter FastPass+. The system lets you choose up to three experiences, and yes—that includes reserved seating for the Festival of Fantasy Parade. I chose the parade, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and a favorite third attraction. With the added option to grab a fourth FastPass after using your first three, there’s flexibility too.

The FastPass+ viewing area for the parade is top-tier. It’s located right in front of Cinderella Castle, directly behind the Partners Statue. No better view exists for this stunning afternoon spectacle.

All-New Magic on Parade

The Festival of Fantasy Parade replaced Celebrate a Dream Come True and brings all-new floats custom-made for Walt Disney World. This isn’t a recycled show from Disneyland—everything is original, massive, and intricately detailed.

The towering floats celebrate Fantasyland favorites like Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Tangled, Brave, and more. The detail is impressive—especially with Maleficent’s steampunk-style dragon, which breathes real fire. Keep your eyes high; many characters appear well above six feet in the air.

Insider Viewing Advice

If you’re planning to see the parade, remember this: it’s not always at 3:00 PM. During busy seasons, Disney may schedule two parades—typically at 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Always check the Times Guide or the My Disney Experience App on your visit.

Fire Breathing Dragons. Perfect!

If it’s your first time seeing the Festival of Fantasy Parade, I highly recommend using a FastPass+ to secure a premium view. You’ll spend less time holding a spot and more time enjoying the park. And if you’re lucky, like I was, you’ll witness the fire-breathing dragon pass right in front of Cinderella Castle. Disney magic, no doubt.
