Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration Shines Bright
Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary brought plenty of magical experiences, but one that instantly became our family favorite was the all-new nighttime parade: Paint the Night! This electrifying show is a remarkable upgrade to the classic Main Street Electrical Parade, blending nostalgia with cutting-edge technology.

More Than a Million Lights
According to Disney, “When the lights go down at The Happiest Place on Earth, that’s when the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration shines most brilliantly, thanks to the all-new Disney Paint the Night Parade!”

From the moment Mickey and Tinker Bell use enchanted pixie dust to “paint the night,” guests are immersed in a sea of glowing lights, vivid floats, and beloved Disney and Pixar characters. With more than a million lights and high-energy music, it’s a breathtaking display of motion and magic.
Characters, Music, and Magic
Mickey Mouse leads the dream-filled parade as luminous floats featuring characters from Frozen, Monsters Inc., Cars, Toy Story, and more dance their way down Main Street, U.S.A. Our little one couldn’t stop singing the theme song and immediately asked, “Daddy, when can we do that again?”

Seeing this parade in person is unforgettable. While I did my best to capture it with three camera angles, nothing compares to the in-person experience. Paint the Night is a visual and emotional triumph—a must-see for Disney fans of all ages.
Let There Be Light!
This parade proves that Disney knows how to reinvent a classic. Paint the Night Parade is a stunning spiritual successor to the Main Street Electrical Parade, modernized for a new generation but respectful of what came before.

Whether you’re a Disneyland veteran or visiting for the first time, Paint the Night is one magical moment you won’t want to miss. And who knows—maybe one day, Walt Disney World will bring a version of it to Magic Kingdom!
