It happened at last – after more than 50 visits to Walt Disney World, my wife and I embarked on a journey just for us. As we celebrated a significant wedding anniversary, the dream of experiencing Disney without our children became a reality. The familiar sights of bars and nightlife, once passed by with a stroller in tow, now beckoned us with open doors. Where to begin our adventure?
We started with a trip to the Grand Floridian for the dining experience of a lifetime, Victoria & Albert’s. Disney’s Description of Victoria and Albert’s:
The ultimate in fine dining at Walt Disney World® Resort and one of the finest restaurants in the Southeast, Victoria & Albert’s feature modern American cuisine with exquisite products sourced from around the world. Recipient of AAA’s highest achievement, the Five Diamond Award, “Forbes Travel Guide” Four Star rating and glowing reviews from Zagat and others, the restaurant in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa evokes another era when dining was an elegant ritual, with a knowledgeable maître d’hôtel and chefs in classic white toques.
Our trip was pulled together at the last minute, so the coveted Chef’s Table was of course booked! Maybe next time… But the Chef’s Table isn’t the only option for an exceptional experience. In early 2010, the Queen Victoria’s Room debuted and according to Disney:
This new dining experience is the most exclusive at Victoria & Albert’s – an elegant, intimate setting behind closed doors where French Gerry-don gueridon service – tableside finishes for diners’ pleasure and entertainment – is making a comeback. With just four tables and rich décor inspired by Old World dining rooms of London and Paris, the tone is set for a luxurious, leisurely evening. The sublime experience includes up to ten courses. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for sensational cuisine, Queen Victoria’s Room takes dining to new heights.
As you would expect, the service was incredible… we were presented with our custom 10-course menu and treated like royalty. I had my camera ready and captured as much of the dining event as I could. Hope you enjoy it.
Victoria and Albert’s has always looked like an amazing experience. I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to go but I love living vicariously through others who get to experience it!
We were lucky enough to dine at V&A pre-kids. It was an amazing meal and I loved how they were able to provide me with a customized vegetarian meal. James’ favorite Disney meal was from that night. Hopefully we’ll be able to make it back someday!
I wouldn’t even know how to eat that fancy food! Thanks so much for the very thorough look into Victoria & Albert’s!
Victoria and Alberts is way too fancy for my tastes. The food and atmosphere look fantastic and could be a great dining experience.

We have never eaten here. The food looks great and sounds like a great experience. I hope some day we can eat here!
This is on my bucket list. I was amazed at all the information you got throughout the meal. I have to ask did you have enough alone time too?
Absolutely Mary! The evening lasted over 3 hours… The video was only the highlights… Lots of time to enjoy the beautiful company!
