A Surprise Celebration for Mickey and Minnie

In 2019, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World launched an all-new celebration in honor of the original duo—Mickey and Minnie Mouse. As part of the yearlong party, guests were treated to new merchandise, specialty food and beverage items, and a high-energy street parade that brought the magic straight to Main Street, U.S.A.

MousekeDance in the Streets

The Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party transformed Main Street into one giant dance floor. With dazzling floats and a live-singing host, the party marched down the street toward Cinderella Castle, where Mickey and Minnie—dressed in their new confetti-covered celebration outfits—led the fun.

The original song “It’s a Good Time” set the upbeat tone, joined by remixed versions of classic Disney tunes. Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Clarabelle joined in on the excitement, greeting guests from floats and dancing along as the party circled the castle hub.

Limited-Time Food and Fun

The celebration also included exclusive dining options across Magic Kingdom. Guests raved about the Mickey Burger at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café—a loaded creation featuring macaroni and cheese, American cheese, cheese sauce, bacon, and flaming hot cheese dust, all stacked on a Mickey Mouse bun.

Guests also found collectible drinkware like the Mickey Sipper and Birthday Hat Straw, available at various quick-service locations throughout the park.

Meet & Greet in Style

Guests could meet Mickey and Minnie together at Town Square Theater, both wearing their vibrant celebration outfits. This rare duo appearance made for the perfect photo op to commemorate the event.
