Disney’s Magic in the Magic Kingdom (1988)

George Burns hosts an enchanted evening at Disneyland, an hour of speculator illusion, death-defying escape with special guests stars Siegfried and Roy with a special musical performance by the Miami Sound Machine.    The television special originally aired on February 12, 1988.  Guests appearing on the special include George Burns, Harry Anderson, Gloria Estefan, Morgan Fairchild, Markie Post, John Ratzenberger, Lance Burton, Dean Gunnarson, Siegfried Fischbacher, Roy Horn, and Jonathan Pendragon.  Amongst the tricks, escape artist Dean Gunnarson, who George Burns referred to as the “new Houdini,” escaped from a shark cage submerged in the submarine lagoon. The Pendragons performed a 360-degree levitation, with Charlotte flying and flipping around Jonathan. For the finale of the program, Siegfried and Roy made Sleeping Beauty Castle disappear.
