Following Disney’s successful 30th anniversary celebration in 1995, we are reminded that Walt Disney himself once promised that Disneyland would never rest on its laurels. And in 1996 Disneyland will be opening 3 new attractions. All in an effort to make 1996 the biggest year at Disneyland ever! Already opened is the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown, we get to see some of the re-programing of the Bears. Big Thunder Ranch will open in time for the Summer Season. George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola and Michael Jackson have teamed up for the biggest 3D production ever attempted in Captain EO, which will open at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida. Through September 6th Disneyland will be randomly giving away a Pontiac Firebird and other gifts on a daily basis. After detailing the new attractions, we take a quick tour of Disneyland, stopping in and 7 magical lands.
