Welcome to Disney’s DTV Valentine, a musical tribute to love and romance that aired in February 1986. The special is a unique blend of classic Disney animation and hit songs from the 1980s, offering a Valentine’s Day celebration like no other. Jimmy Cricket kicks things off as our first host, setting the stage for this rock-and-roll journey through love and music.

What is Disney DTV Valentine?
Professor Ludwig Von Drake soon appears, introducing us to DTV—Disney’s version of music television. Think MTV, but with Disney magic! Classic cartoons are paired with hit songs to create music videos full of nostalgia and heart. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Chip & Dale, and Ludwig Von Drake join Jiminy as hosts for this musical journey.

A Historic Milestone for Donald Duck
This special also holds a major place in Disney history as it marks the first time Tony Anselmo voiced Donald Duck, taking over from Clarence “Ducky” Nash, the original voice of Donald. Paul Frees provided the voice of Ludwig Von Drake and the Announcer, making this one of his final performances before his passing in November 1986.
