Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary was filled with exciting announcements, experiences, and new additions across all four theme parks. Among them was the debut of a brand-new flagship store in Epcot: Creations Shop.
Located in the heart of Epcot’s newly named World Celebration neighborhood, Creations Shop officially opened just weeks before the anniversary kick-off. The space reimagines the former MouseGear location and serves as the new standard for Disney’s retail experiences.
But this isn’t just a shop—it’s an artistic tribute to Mickey Mouse and Disney’s creativity.

The store’s visual identity centers on “Mickey as the Ultimate Creator.” According to Brianna Pfost, Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, the goal was to design a space that embodies creativity, possibility, and imagination—the core values of the Epcot transformation.
Large-format murals wrap the walls with bold color, movement, and abstract shapes—all inspired by different aspects of Mickey Mouse. Some sections are literal, showcasing classic poses, while others are interpretive, symbolizing Mickey’s role as an icon of creative inspiration.
Blending Retail with Storytelling
From the moment guests step inside, they’re immersed in light, openness, and artistic energy. Floor-to-ceiling windows let natural sunlight pour in, enhancing the vivid color palette throughout the murals. It feels like walking through a living gallery—one that happens to offer exclusive Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary merchandise.
Each mural is hand-crafted and unique, bringing a modern, stylish energy to the retail environment. Even the fixtures and shelving mirror the sleek, minimalist aesthetic introduced with Epcot’s ongoing transformation.
