From January 14 through February 21, 2022, EPCOT transformed into a celebration of creativity, flavor, and imagination for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts 2022. The festival blended culinary masterpieces, world-class performance art, and incredible visual displays—all while celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
Broadway Stars Shine Bright
One of the standout features was the Disney on Broadway Concert Series. Held three times nightly, the concerts showcased stars from more than 25 years of Broadway productions. Performers like Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White brought the magic of Disney musicals to life on the American Gardens Theatre stage. Dining packages were available for guests looking to pair dinner with a guaranteed seat for the show.

Culinary Art Comes to Life
The festival featured 15 Food Studios, each offering inventive dishes as visually stunning as they were delicious. Newcomers included:
- Deco Delights – Home to the rich Dulce Chocolate Mousse
- The Craftsman’s Courtyard – Featuring P.E.I. Mussels roasted on cast iron
- Plant-based highlights – Like Carrots Three Ways with grilled, pickled, and puréed options
Guests could also take on the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, sampling five colorful dishes from around the festival. Collecting all five passport stamps earned a special Artist Palette Cookie at the end.
Art Around Every Corner
More than 100 Disney and visiting artists were showcased across EPCOT. From live chalk art on the Showcase Plaza bridge to on-stage performances like Art Defying Gravity and Visual Art in Performance, art was truly everywhere. At The Disney Artist Gallery and WonderGround Gallery, guests could meet artists and watch them work.

Family Fun and Creative Exploration
The festival wasn’t just for adults. Kids joined in the creativity at Kid’s Chalk Art, while families helped paint the Expression Section: A Paint by Numbers Mural. Guests also learned to draw Disney characters at Animation Academy or viewed attraction artwork created by Disney Imagineers in Drawing on Inspiration: Celebrating 50 Years of Magic.
Step Into the Art
Guests could become part of the masterpieces with Artful Photo Ops located across World Showcase. The paid experience Figment’s Brush with the Masters offered a whimsical scavenger hunt, challenging guests to find Figment hiding inside famous paintings. Completing the map earned a unique festival surprise.
Festival Merchandise
A full collection of festival-exclusive merchandise featuring Figment included apparel, gifts, and collectibles, all celebrating the intersection of color, creativity, and imagination.
