D3-O9 appears on your cabin vidscreen and is available at any time to answer questions. She’s ready to engage whether you’re looking for lore, directions, or advice.
What Makes D3-O9 Unique?
Commissioned by Chandrila Star Line’s founder centuries ago, D3-O9 Starcruiser droid is a blend of history, wisdom, and personality. Though her main job is ship logistics, she clearly enjoys chatting with passengers more than pushing paperwork.
She’s knowledgeable about every mission, every name on the crew manifest, and even every surprise that may unfold during your journey. Her goal? To ensure guests feel informed, welcomed, and part of the story.
D3-O9 and the Living Character Initiative
Behind the scenes, D3-O9 is part of Walt Disney Imagineering’s Living Character Initiative. This effort explores new ways to extend character interactions beyond traditional meet-and-greets.
Developed by WDI Research and Development, D3-O9 uses real-time responsiveness to create natural, fluid conversations. While still in early testing during our media day visit, she’s already proving one of the most exciting additions to the Halcyon experience.
