During your two-day adventure on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser you are sure to have questions, questions about the ship, it does have a 275-year history, questions about your voyage, or questions about other crew members aboard. D3-O9 is your personal in-cabin assistance droid, always at the ready to help you with any question.

D3-O9 is a talkative droid guest may see on vidscreens. Her primary responsibility is running ship logistics, so she knows everyone and everything happening on board during a voyage. But her favorite part of the job is talking with passengers. Commissioned centuries ago, by Chandrila Star Line’s founder, D3 has seen the ship’s history – and the entire galaxy – evolve, and she’s not shy about sharing her knowledge and opinions with passengers.

In real life, D3-O9 is an extension of the “Living Character Initiative” part of Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development, an idea, and a concept that will be leveraged to extend storytelling all around Walt Disney World and Disney Parks. For my brief experience aboard the Halcyon, D3 was still in “playtesting”.
