“My family is originally from Colombia, and this Easter egg was something very special for me to create in honor of them, especially my nanny,” said pastry cook Yadira Camacho. “Sharing this story through chocolate with our guests is something I’ll never forget.”
From Disney films and attractions to personal journeys, each Grand Floridian Easter eggs 2022 creation begins with sketches, planning, and collaboration among cast members. Everyone contributes to the vision, making the final display a heartfelt team effort.
“I chose Luca as the theme of my egg because I felt very connected to the story,” said chef assistant Juan Jimenez Abreu. “I’m an immigrant from Venezuela, and the characters were discovering a new community and learning who they are. I wanted guests to feel the emotion I felt watching them grow.”
Incredible Techniques and Edible Artistry
Beyond the personal meaning, the Grand Floridian Easter eggs 2022 display demonstrates incredible skill. Cast members use advanced techniques like chocolate sculpting, cocoa butter painting, and delicate edible decoration. It’s a rare chance to turn culinary talent into theme park storytelling.
A Showstopping Tribute to Cinderella
The showstopper this year? A giant Cinderella royal stagecoach created in honor of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. Inspired by Cinderella Castle’s shimmering transformation, this massive piece captures the fantasy of Magic Kingdom in edible form.
“Cinderella is a childhood favorite of mine,” said chef assistant Fabiola Vidal. “I studied different versions of her stagecoach across property to create this large-scale chocolate tribute.”
