As part of Epcot’s continuing transformation, a select group of cast members received an exciting opportunity. They became the very first to explore the newest “other-world” pavilion, the Wonders of Xandar, during the Epcot Cast Member Preview.
A Behind-the-Scenes First Look
Before this highly anticipated addition opens to guests this summer, the Epcot cast had a chance to go behind the progress walls and begin learning about the experience firsthand. At the heart of the new pavilion stands the Starblaster, an iconic Xandarian ship that offers a bold welcome to all future visitors.
Just as the people of Xandar are curious to learn about Earthlings (or “Terrans” as they call us), Disney’s cast members were just as eager to explore the Xandarian perspective.
Learning and Leading at Epcot Guardians preview
Epcot Vice President Kartika Rodriguez joined her team for the preview tour in the spirit of continuous learning. From new hires to long-time leaders, Disney cast members always train and evolve to offer the best possible guest experience.
These types of previews not only help cast members prepare for guest questions, but also deepen their understanding of the story being told inside each attraction—adding an extra layer of magic to every guest interaction.
