In the Anandapur village, you can pause and soak in the tranquil sounds of Chakranadi, performed live on the sitar. The musician brings the meditative tones of Indian classical music to the heart of Animal Kingdom with this ancient string instrument, complete with 19 strings and moveable frets.
Viva Gaia Street Band Ignites Discovery Island
The Viva Gaia Street Band is back and better than ever. This high-energy multicultural group brings island beats, vibrant costumes, and interactive fun to Discovery Island. With upbeat tempos and masquerade flair, this show transforms the area into a dance party that the whole family can enjoy.
Festival of the Lion King: A Modified Return
One of Animal Kingdom’s most beloved shows, Festival of the Lion King, returned with a modified presentation titled “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King.” This version was adapted to follow safety guidelines post-pandemic, with temporary changes to choreography and staging. Most notably, the Tumble Monkeys and aerial performers were paused but are gradually returning to full form.
