A New Era of Disney Wearables
Initially launched in 2013, the original MagicBand revolutionized convenience at Walt Disney World with seamless park entry, Lightning Lane access, hotel room entry, PhotoPass integration, and contactless payments. Now, MagicBand+ builds on that foundation, offering color-changing lights, gesture recognition, and haptic feedback that activate throughout the day to connect you to the magic around you.

What’s New with MagicBand+
Guests can now:
- Join the Disney Fab 50 Quest, a golden statue scavenger hunt across all four parks. Interact with sculptures and unlock augmented reality achievements via the Play Disney Parks app.
- Become a Batuu Bounty Hunter in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Your MagicBand+ guides you to hidden bounties in Black Spire Outpost with light patterns and haptics. Redeem galactic credits after completing your missions.

- Enhance Nighttime Spectaculars, including “Harmonious” at Epcot and “Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom, as your MagicBand+ lights up in sync with fireworks and park icon Beacons of Magic.

- Guests can experience nighttime spectaculars in a new way as they see their bands light up and complement the magic in the skies, including “Harmonious” at EPCOT and “Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom Park. MagicBand+ will also engage as all four theme park icons transform into Beacons of Magic!
Purchase and AvailabilityMagicBand+ will be available for purchase across Walt Disney World Resort and online at shopDisney.com, starting at $34.99. Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels or Annual Passholders can take advantage of a pre-arrival discount.
And yes, original MagicBands and Disney MagicMobile on eligible devices still work with existing features, so guests have options.
Later in 2022, MagicBand+ will debut at Disneyland Resort, with select features unique to that destination.
Stay tuned for more updates and be ready to tap into magic like never before!
