Victoria & Albert’s Reopening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
One of the finest dining experiences anywhere on Disney property — or anywhere, period — is finally back. That’s right, Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has officially reopened, and I couldn’t be more excited.
From the first note of live harp music to the final taste of handcrafted chocolate, Victoria & Albert’s delivers a night you’ll never forget. And now, after a thoughtful reimagining, it’s better than ever.
What’s New Inside
This isn’t just a refresh — it’s a full transformation. Inspired by Queen Victoria’s Jubilee Celebration, the space now features soft hues, shimmering crystal chandeliers, and intricate patterns that give the dining room a modern edge without losing its timeless charm.
The feel is upscale yet warm, luxurious yet inviting — and it sets the perfect tone for what’s to come.
The Food (It’s Why We’re All Here)
At Victoria & Albert’s, every course is a story. Each plate is handcrafted with seasonal ingredients, global inspiration, and artistic flair. The ever-changing tasting menu has included highlights like Glacier 51 Toothfish with sambal and charred mushroom or a dazzling Carrot Tikka Masala served with puri bread.
And then there’s dessert. The Spectrum of Chocolate isn’t just a dessert; it’s an event. Think tableside sabayon, Madagascar vanilla, and four rich chocolates all melting into harmony.
Elevated Pairings, Elevated Evenings
Let’s talk wine. The on-site sommeliers will take you through a curated collection of more than 500 labels — and yes, there’s now a zero-proof cocktail pairing as well. One of the most intriguing? The “Guajillo Spice,” which is smoked tableside and combines guajillo chiles, lime, turbinado sugar, and a hint of peppercorn.
Three Ways to Dine Like Royalty
There are three seating options, each offering its own take on the experience:
- The Dining Room: Seasonal flavors in a stunning, open setting.
- Queen Victoria Room: Intimate, elegant, and full of tableside magic.
- The Chef’s Table: The ultimate Disney foodie bucket list — seated in the kitchen itself, interacting with the chefs as your custom meal unfolds.
Meet the Masters Behind the Menu
This level of culinary excellence doesn’t happen by chance. The team is stacked with talent:
- Chef de Cuisine Matthew Sowers – Over 15 years at Victoria & Albert’s and a guiding force behind menus for Remy aboard Disney Cruise Line.
- Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer – A Disney legend in her own right, with a passion for sweets that shows in every bite.
- Sommelier Israel Perez – Maître d’hotel with two decades of creating memorable Disney dining experiences.
- Executive Chef Kevin Chong and Culinary Director Scott Hunnel also lend their expertise across multiple signature Disney dining locations — but Victoria & Albert’s is still their crown jewel.
A Dining Legacy Unlike Any Other
Victoria & Albert’s isn’t just the only Florida restaurant with both the AAA Five Diamond Award and the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award — it’s one of only 26 restaurants nationwide with that rare distinction.
And now, with its recent MICHELIN Star recognition in 2025, it holds yet another title: Disney’s only U.S.-owned and operated restaurant to earn a MICHELIN Star. That’s huge.
So yes — Victoria & Albert’s is back. It’s elegant. Refined. It’s Disney storytelling told through fine dining. And it’s ready to make your next night at Walt Disney World one for the books.
Reservations are now open, but you’ll want to plan. This one’s a must-do — whether you’re a Disney foodie, celebrating a milestone, or just ready for an unforgettable experience.
