Jim Henson’s Muppet Vision 3D opened at Walt Disney Word’s MGM Studios on May 16, 1991, the one-year anniversary of Jim Henson’s passing. The film and pre-show were filmed in January of 1990, making Muppet Vision 3D one of the last Muppets projects Jim Henson was directly involved in. Muppet Vision 3D and the Muppet Theater were both part of the proposed MuppetLand expansion to Disney MGM Studios, now Hollywood Studios, that never happened. The Pre-show is as quotable and memorable as the attraction, located inside the prop warehouse, an experience all its own. Don’t miss the 2D Fruit Ds, a-netful-of-jello, or the Jim Henson Muppet Portrait in the rafters above.
With Quotes like, Debbie was sick, wh – the union sent me, What Foolishness would you like, or Rat Schm’at. The pre-show is worth the time, start to finish. After all, Scooter is just trying to prepare for the big show but keeps getting interrupted.
