At New York Comic Con 2022, Marvel fans got a thrilling look behind the curtain during the Suiting Up with Super Heroes at Disney Parks and Experiences panel. Hosted on October 7, the panel featured creative leaders from across The Walt Disney Company, revealing new and upcoming Marvel experiences across Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, and beyond.

Avengers Campus Expands Worldwide
In 2022, Avengers Campus experienced significant growth. Disneyland Paris celebrated its grand opening, while Disney California Adventure announced plans for a new attraction featuring King Thanos, a multiversal villain created exclusively for Avengers Campus. In this upcoming ride, guests will team up with heroes from across dimensions in a family-friendly adventure.
Meanwhile, Walt Disney World introduced Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. This storytelling coaster combines Marvel narratives with cutting-edge thrills. During the holiday season, a festive remix debuted, featuring new seasonal tunes as the Guardians save the galaxy once more—this time to the beat of classic holiday hits

Super Heroes at Sea
Marvel magic isn’t confined to theme parks. Disney Cruise Line hosted Marvel Day at Sea on select sailings aboard the Disney Dream in early 2023. Fans experienced new characters and entertainment inspired by the latest Marvel films and series, along with the return of the dynamic “Heroes Unite” deck show. From kid-friendly encounters to adults-only Ravagers parties, this at-sea event offered one of the most action-packed days on the high seas.

Wakanda Forever Comes to Life
With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hitting theaters on November 11. Fans were thrilled to learn about M’Baku’s arrival at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure. Disneyland Paris also planned Wakandan celebrations, bringing the spirit of Wakanda to life across multiple resorts.

The Wonders of Xandar Land in NYC
To continue the celebration, a Wonders of Xandar outpost. The NYCC show floor featured a Wonders of Xandar outpost modeled after the new EPCOT pavilion. Guests could trade “Galactic Units,” learn about Terran culture, and even snack on Zarg Nuts, Drax’s favorite treat.
This immersive activation highlighted that Marvel storytelling continues to expand in unexpected and exciting ways across Disney destinations. From the MCU to the parks and sea, it’s an exciting time to be a Marvel fan.
