On October 26, 2022, MagicBand+ made its debut at the Disneyland Resort, introducing a new level of convenience and interactivity for guests. This wearable technology allows for seamless park entry, Lightning Lane access, and PhotoPass integration. With features like color-changing lights and haptic feedback, MagicBand+ brings a dynamic element to the park experience.

Interactive Features and Experiences

MagicBand+ offers more than just convenience. Guests can engage with interactive experiences throughout the parks. In Avengers Campus, the band enhances certain entertainment elements, while in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it enables participation in the Batuu Bounty Hunters quest. Stylish Designs and Customization

At launch, over 18 MagicBand+ designs were available, including five exclusive to Disneyland Resort. Guests can choose from various colors and themes, with options featuring favorite Disney characters. Magic Key holders have access to a special edition band with a unique light-up sequence.​

MagicBand+ can be purchased at various locations throughout the Disneyland Resort, including:​

Setup and Usage

Setting up MagicBand+ is straightforward:

1. Power on the band by pressing the button on the back.
2. Tap the band to the back of your smartphone to initiate pairing.
3. Follow the prompts in the Disneyland app to link the band to your Disney account and ticket.​

The band is rechargeable, with a battery life of one to three days, and is waterproof, making it suitable for all park activities.
