Rose Bowl Teams Make Magical Stop at Disneyland Resort
Utah and Penn State kicked off their Rose Bowl festivities with a visit to the Disneyland Resort ahead of their matchup in the 109th Rose Bowl Game on January 2, 2023. The teams joined in a festive cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A., marking their first official pregame appearance.
The cavalcade featured Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham and Penn State coach James Franklin, along with key players from both teams. Representing Utah were quarterback Cameron Rising, wide receiver Devaughn Vele, safety R.J. Hubert, and defensive tackle Devin Kaufusi. From Penn State, tight end Brenton Strange, long snapper Chris Stoll, linebacker Jonathan Sutherland, and defensive end Nick Tarburton took part in the celebration.
Also joining the parade were the 2023 Rose Queen, Bella Ballard, the Royal Court, and the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band, adding to the magic and tradition of the event.
Following the cavalcade, players and coaches gathered inside the Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A., for interviews and a commemorative group photo to mark the occasion.
This marks the first-ever meeting between Utah and Penn State in the Rose Bowl Game. Utah enters the game as Pac-12 Champions with a 10-3 record, while Penn State boasts a 10-2 season finish.

Donโt miss the 134th Rose Parade, airing live on ABC at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET on January 2. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will even help kick things off with the traditional football toss!
Then at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET, the 109th Rose Bowl Game will air live on ESPN and the ESPN app. Mickey and Minnie will return to deliver the game ball before kickoff.
