The 2023 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend took place from April 13 to 16, marking the final event of the 2022-2023 race season at Walt Disney World Resort. With a Pixar theme, the weekend celebrated friendship, fun, and unforgettable finish lines.
Lightning Speed and Laughs with the Pixar Pals
Whether you were sprinting through Radiator Springs or strolling with Sulley, each race event featured beloved Pixar characters and themed fun:
- Disney Pixar Cars 5K: Runners zipped through the 3.1-mile course with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and friends.
Disney Pixar Monsters 10K: This 6.2-mile fright-filled race featured Mike and Sulley with scare canisters counting down every mile.
Disney Pixar Toy Story 10 Miler Woody, Buzz, Bo Peep, and friends helped racers push โto infinity and the finish line!โ
runDisney Springtime Surprise Challenge Finish all three races and youโd earn the Nemo-themed challenge medal, celebrating determination and the magic of the big blue world.

Missed the in-person magic? No worries! The Virtual runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend provided fans with the opportunity to run from home. Participants could earn the same Pixar-inspired medals while racing through a course of their choosing.
