Magic Kingdom Welcomes Back a Classic with a New Voice and Track
Cast members and Imagineers are celebrating a nostalgic moment at Magic Kingdom Park as we welcome back the Walt Disney World Railroad. This opening-day attraction now features a fully refreshed track looping the park—and a new surprise for fans and first-time riders alike.
This historic train received essential maintenance, but that’s not all. Imagineers also revisited the narration and introduced an all-new voice. “Exciting new sounds and voices will complement the familiar whistle of its steam engine,” shared the team at Walt Disney Imagineering. “A new conductor has taken the role, continuing the tradition of warm welcomes and amusing anecdotes while adding fresh commentary to the journey.”
A Conductor With Character
The voiceover process was just as detailed as the train’s operation. It began with choosing a new conductor—someone who grew up on Main Street, U.S.A., dreaming of joining the railroad. That dream came true. Now, this friendly and knowledgeable conductor shares his love of the Magic Kingdom, helping guests discover its wonder from land to land.

Guests can enjoy all the classic sights along the scenic Grand Circle tour. As the train travels from one land to another, the new narration adds insight, humor, and surprises. It blends nostalgia with fresh storytelling, bringing new life to this classic ride.
