There’s even more magic coming to the Downtown Disney District this year!
With the Disney100 Celebration kicking off at Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023, Downtown Disney is getting ready too — with new eats, new locations, and fresh updates all around.
Here’s everything you need to know:
Earl of Sandwich Returns
Good news for sandwich fans — Earl of Sandwich is making its comeback this February!
You’ll find both grab-and-go favorites and a full-service Earl of Sandwich Tavern temporarily located where La Brea Bakery once stood.
While La Brea Bakery is moving on after 20 years, Earl of Sandwich is stepping in to bring their famous hot artisan sandwiches back to Downtown Disney.
Keep an eye out — opening day is coming soon!
Porto’s Bakery is on the Way
Another huge addition: Porto’s Bakery is coming to Downtown Disney!
Famous for their Cheese Rolls and California-Cuban cuisine, Porto’s will build a brand-new location near the Esplanade on the footprint of the old La Brea Bakery spot.
Get ready for delicious pastries, savory treats, and some of the best bakery smells you’ll ever experience.
More details (and treats) are coming later this year!
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen Evolves
Over at the heart of Downtown Disney, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is getting a new look and a fresh new menu as it becomes Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio.
Guests can look forward to:
- An open, coastal-inspired atmosphere
- Favorites like Pasta Jambalaya and Gumbo Ya-Ya
- New coastal dishes like the Grilled Lobster BLT Po’ Boy
- Expanded signature beignets with specialty glazes and seasonal flavors!
The second-floor updates are already welcoming guests, while the first floor is getting final touches before the full grand reopening.
Disney Home and WonderGround Gallery Pop-Ups
Disney Home and WonderGround Gallery are temporarily closed for behind-the-scenes construction.
But don’t worry — you can still grab your favorite home décor at World of Disney, and WonderGround Gallery artwork is available at a pop-up location near Star Wars Trading Post.
Din Tai Fung Coming Soon
Here’s a tasty reveal we’ve been waiting for:
Concept art for the upcoming Din Tai Fung location looks absolutely stunning!
Known for their world-famous dumplings and modern Chinese cuisine, Din Tai Fung will open on the west side of Downtown Disney District in the future.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to enjoy dumplings in this beautiful new space!
Downtown Disney’s Big Year Ahead
With so many exciting changes — from Earl of Sandwich and Porto’s Bakery to Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Din Tai Fung — Downtown Disney District is shaping up to be better than ever in 2023.
