Continuing a Legacy of Disney Magic

As Chairman, D’Amaro oversees Disney’s six theme park-resort destinations across the United States, Europe, and Asia.  Along with Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, and global consumer products. He leads more than 150,000 cast members worldwide.

Since Disney is the world’s largest wish granter, D’Amaro’s appointment deepens the relationship between Disney and Make-A-Wish. The Walt Disney Company has granted more than 145,000 wishes worldwide since 1980.  Josh continues Disney’s legacy of supporting wish families through voluntary service on national, global, and chapter boards.

“Both Disney and Make-A-Wish understand what a positive impact hope, imagination, and happiness can have on the lives of seriously ill children,” said D’Amaro. “It’s an honor to represent the thousands of Disney cast members worldwide.  Castmembers who create magic and help make wishes come true every day for these amazing families.”

A Stronger Future for Wishes

Leslie Motter, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, praised the appointments of both D’Amaro and Braun, highlighting their hands-on experience with wish granting. “Through their companies, they’ve both seen repeatedly that wishes can play an important part in the healing process, frequently serving as a turning point in a child’s medical journey.”

The Make-A-Wish national board now includes 24 members with diverse backgrounds and expertise across business, finance, fundraising, marketing, operations, and more. By leveraging the talents of top leaders like D’Amaro, Make-A-Wish moves closer to its vision of granting the wish of every eligible child.
