Just in time for 2024 bookings, Disney has shared some exciting news that will make planning your next vacation easier than ever. Starting May 31, guests can book theme park tickets, resort stays, and packages for 2024. Here’s what’s new—and what’s coming soon:
Celebrating 100 Years of Storytelling and Shared Memories
No More Park Reservations (for Most Tickets)
Beginning January 9, 2024, guests purchasing date-based tickets will no longer need theme park reservations. That means you’re automatically good to go when you select your ticket dates. Other admission types, like non-dated tickets, may still require reservations, so always check before purchasing at DisneyWorld.com/ThemeParkReservations.
“Good-to-Go Days” for Passholders and Cast
In 2024, Disney will introduce “good-to-go days” for Annual Passholders and Cast Members, allowing park entry with no reservation on select days. These will be in addition to current rules that allow park visits after 2 p.m. without reservations (excluding weekends at Magic Kingdom). Stay tuned for more details.
Dining Plans Are Back
Guests booking vacation packages with a Disney Resort hotel can once again choose Disney dining plans beginning with stays on or after January 9, 2024. Two options return: the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the standard Disney Dining Plan. Both offer convenience and value, especially for families.
Extended Hours for Resort Guests
Disney Resort hotel guests will continue to enjoy early park entry every day in 2024. Those staying at Deluxe Resorts or Deluxe Villas will also get extended evening hours at select parks on select dates. Valid park admission and Resort ID are required for both benefits.
Genie+ Improvements in Progress
Disney is working on ways to let guests plan Genie+ and Lightning Lane selections before they arrive at the parks. The goal is to reduce in-park planning and give guests more time to enjoy their day. More details will be shared later this year.
