Happily Ever After has officially returned to Magic Kingdom. The beloved nighttime spectacular now lights up the skies with fireworks, lasers, lights, and stunning new projections along Main Street, U.S.A. Nightly performances resumed on April 4, 2023—but not before a one-night-only preview that made Disney history.
Before the official launch, Walt Disney World hosted a special preview night for Cast Members and invited media. This exclusive event was more than just a fireworks show. It brought together TRON Lightcycle / Run, the finale of Disney’s 50th Anniversary celebration, and the return of Happily Ever After in a single magical moment.
That evening, the brand-new Main Street projections debuted, surrounding guests with an immersive experience. The real surprise? Cinderella Castle still featured the 50th-anniversary crest, creating a visual that perfectly blended the past and future.
For one night only, guests saw the Happily Ever After fireworks set against the glowing 50th medallion. This scene, orchestrated through a unique Disney Parks marketing collaboration, will never happen again.
