Mickey Mouse fans have something new to celebrate! Starting September 28, 2023, Disney Vacation Club members and Disneyland Hotel guests can cool off with the new Steamboat Willie splash pad opening at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
This playful water zone brings the black-and-white charm of Walt Disneyโs 1928 short Steamboat Willie to life. At the center, a grayscale steamboatโhelmed by Mickeyโdelights kids with pop jets, fountains, waterfalls, and misty fog. Special lighting transforms the scene from monochrome to color at night, offering a magical tribute to Mickeyโs legacy.
Palette Pool and Palm Breeze Bar
The splash pad is part of the new Palette Pool area, including a modern mid-century swimming pool shaped like an artistโs palette. Nearby, guests can enjoy the Palm Breeze Bar, a poolside spot serving drinks and snacks. The barโs look takes inspiration from Disney Legend Mary Blair, known for her work on Itโs a Small World and other animated classics.
More Than a Splash Pad
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel offer more than water play. With 340+ themed villas, this new Disney Vacation Club tower features rooms inspired by The Jungle Book, Fantasia, Sleeping Beauty, and The Princess and the Frog. Itโs just steps away from Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District.
