The American Adventure: Bringing American History to Life | Walt Disney World | Epcot
The American Adventure is an indoor audio-animatronic stage show and the feature attraction of Epcots American Adventure World Showcase Pavilion. The Epcot opening day attraction has seen a few updates since opening. It has always featured the Animatronic of Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain, who hosts our journey through American History.
The characters provide insight into the American life of the past through conversations in which they discuss the current events of their time, from the Pilgrim’s arrival on the Mayflower, the Boston Tea Party, the writing of the Declaration of Independence, the revolutionary war, the civil war, slavery, the suffering of Native Americans, the Philadelphia Centennial, the founding of Yosemite National Park along with World Wars I and II. The golden dream film montage near the end was last updated in 2018, including a rerecording of “Golden Dream” along with images and depictions of recent history. The show is about 30 minutes long and can be an excellent opportunity to escape the summer heat or avoid a rainstorm. Don’t forget, the voices of liberty perform in the rotunda of the building as a preshow to the American Adventure.
