Disney Junior delighted fans this weekend with exciting news that was sure to please the young and the young-at-heart. During the Disney Junior & Friends Playdate event at Disney California Adventure Park, Disney announced a lineup of new shows, specials, and holiday-themed episodes arriving soon.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0 Coming in 2025
One of the biggest announcements was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0, debuting in 2025. Mickey and friends will return for brand-new adventures featuring songs, laughs, and surprises inside an expanded clubhouse. Minnie Mouse will get her own dedicated space, and Duffy the Disney Bear will make surprise appearances in multiple episodes. This new series builds on the global success of the original, which premiered in 2006 and sparked the viral “Hot Dog Dance.”
Mickey and Friends Trick or Treats Premieres October 1
This Halloween, get ready for Mickey and Friends Trick or Treats, a new stop-motion special airing October 1 on Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney XD. Streaming begins October 2 on Disney+. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy set off trick-or-treating—until Donald’s curiosity leads them to a spooky mansion where Witch Hazel casts a magical spell that turns them into their costumes. Original songs by Beau Black add to the fun.
More Holiday-Themed Episodes Announced
Fans can look forward to festive new episodes across Disney Junior favorites:
- SuperKitties: Halloween episode “Howloween Cat” premieres September 25.
- Pupstruction: Halloween episode premieres September 27 with stories about a haunted house and a Halloween party.
- Mickey Mouse Funhouse: Halloween-themed episode premieres September 26; Día de los Muertos episode premieres October 6.
- Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends: Rosh Hashanah episode premieres September 15, introducing new Marvel characters including The Thing.
New Series and Casting News
Disney also revealed casting and premiere details for upcoming shows:
- Disney Junior’s Ariel premieres in 2024, with Mykal-Michelle Harris as Ariel, joined by Taye Diggs as King Triton and Amber Riley as Ursula.
- RoboGobo premieres in 2024, featuring voices like Cynthia Erivo, Alan Cumming, and Dulé Hill in recurring roles.
Additionally, Doc McStuffins: The Doc & Bella Are In! premieres September 6 with new shorts, marking the first original Doc McStuffins content since 2020. Firebuds returns for season two in November, and new Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures episodes arrive November 8.
