Tiana’s Palace at Disneyland: A Taste of New Orleans and Disney Magic

Tiana’s Palace at Disneyland opens September 7 at Disneyland Park in New Orleans Square. Inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, this quick-service restaurant transforms the French Market Restaurant with bold flavors and vibrant design.

Authentic New Orleans Cuisine

The menu offers a taste of New Orleans with dishes like 7 Greens Gumbo, House Gumbo, and a House-Filled Beignet featuring lemon ice box pie filling. Chef John State shared how blending white bean puree into the gumbo roux adds depth and texture. Guests can also enjoy a Joffrey’s Coffee Chicory Cold Brew topped with cane syrup cream or add a glowing Ray Firefly Glow Cube to their drink.

Disney Details in Every Corner

Imagineers filled the space with nods to Tiana’s story. Look for her father’s gumbo spoon, frog figurines, and a mural of the bayou. The restaurant features golden walls, green awnings, wrought-iron balconies, and soft lighting, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. “The details are everywhere,” said Imagineer Kim Irvine. “From pots and pans to beignet tools, it feels like Tiana’s kitchen.”

“The details are everywhere,” shared Imagineer Kim Irvine. “From the pots and pans to beignet tools, it feels like Tiana’s world.”

Jazz and Joyful Energy

Jazz music sets the tone inside Tiana’s Palace. A custom soundtrack by Walt Disney Imagineering musicians adds lively, authentic energy that completes the experience.

Celebrating Community

For Lindell Skinner, co-chair of PULSE and operations manager for food and beverage, the project was personal. “As a New Orleans native, it’s an honor to share the flavors and culture of home,” he said.
