Starting October 16, 2023, guests at Epcot can embark on a new adventure with Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana. This interactive walk-through attraction invites visitors to explore the wonders of water in a lush, tropical setting inspired by the hit Disney film Moana. Located in the World Nature neighborhood, Journey of Water is part of Epcot’s multi-year transformation, bringing new experiences and stories to the park.
Guests will follow a beautifully landscaped trail where water reveals its playful personality, just like Moana’s connection with the ocean. Along the way, visitors can wave to jumping streams, greet playful fountains, and even create a crashing ocean wave. From high fives with flowing water to musical rain harps, this experience brings the magic of water to life.
Interactive Fun for the Whole Family
Inspired by Moana, Journey of Water is designed to inspire guests of all ages to cherish and protect the water that connects life across the globe. As guests walk the trail, they’ll witness water’s journey through its many forms, engaging with interactive elements that showcase the water cycle in fun and educational ways.
The trail features both wet and dry paths, allowing guests to customize their experience depending on how hands-on they want to get. Accessible pathways, shaded seating areas, and playful water features ensure that every family member can enjoy the adventure.
Along the journey, guests will meet Te Fiti, who symbolizes water’s role in nurturing the world. They might even spot familiar faces like Hei Hei, Pua, and Moana herself, beautifully carved into the rock formations along the path.
Meet Moana in World Nature
Starting October 16, guests can also meet Moana at a new greeting spot across from the attraction. This is the perfect place for photos or a quick chat about water conservation with the adventurous Wayfinder.
Journey of Water joins other attractions in World Nature, including Soarin’ and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Together, these experiences help guests explore and protect the natural world—from sky to sea.
Part of Epcot’s Transformation
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is part of Epcot’s transformation. It joins new additions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Connections Café & Eatery.
More changes are coming soon. Guests can look forward to the “Walt the Dreamer” statue at Dreamers Point and new World Celebration gardens. These spaces will offer green areas for relaxation and reflection.
