The Disney Wonder is officially down under! On Oct. 28, Disney Cruise Line reached a new milestone as the Disney Wonder departed from Sydney, Australia for the first time ever, marking the launch of the inaugural “Disney Magic at Sea” sailings across Australia and New Zealand.
These special two- to six-night voyages run through February 2024, offering families a chance to enjoy the magic of Disney right in their backyard. Cruises depart from four home ports: Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand.

Guests aboard these magical sailings will find themselves immersed in the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. From imaginative dining to world-class entertainment, the Disney Wonder delivers one-of-a-kind offerings throughout the ship. New entertainment offerings include updated versions of the high-energy “Heroes Unite” deck party and “Crush’s Totally Awesome Pool Party.”
And for the first time ever on a Disney Cruise, Moana will make an appearance on the high seas—joining the lineup of beloved Disney characters ready to greet families onboard.
Exploring Sydney and Beyond
With its golden beaches, ancient culture, Royal Botanic Gardens, and urban sophistication, Sydney is the perfect departure point. Before or after their voyage, guests can explore pubs, trendy shops, museums, and First Nations heritage sites across this dynamic global city.
Returning for Another Season in 2024
Due to overwhelming excitement, Disney Cruise Line will return to Australia and New Zealand for a second season of “Disney Magic at Sea” cruises from October 2024 through February 2025. But first, the Disney Wonder will sail from Vancouver, Canada to Honolulu, Hawaii in September 2024, stopping at iconic Hawaiian islands like Kauai, Maui, Hawaii, and Oahu.
From Hawaii, guests can embark on a transpacific journey to Sydney, visiting breathtaking destinations like Fiji, American Samoa, and New Caledonia along the way.
