Alaska Airlines is soaring into the holiday season with a magical new addition to its fleet: a Disneyland Resort-themed aircraft dubbed “Mickey’s Toontown Express.” Unveiled in a special gate ceremony in Seattle, the new Boeing 737-800 livery features vibrant artwork of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals—Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, and even Chip ‘n’ Dale. This playful design brings the energy of Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland Park to the skies.
A Sky-High Celebration
After the big reveal, the inaugural flight departed for Orange County, California. This launch marks the latest step in Alaska Airlines’ 25-year collaboration with the Disneyland Resort. It’s also the airline’s eighth Disney Parks-inspired aircraft and the first to feature Mickey Mouse since 2015.
Painting the aircraft took over 400 hours and 20 days. Artists hand-painted every detail, covering the plane from nose to tail in cheerful colors and whimsical scenes.

Onboard Magic for Families
To celebrate the launch, Alaska and Disney treated families and special guests to a magical experience. Guests enjoyed priority boarding, Disney-themed snack packs, and activity books starring Mickey and friends. The onboard service reflects Alaska’s family-first approach and adds extra magic to the journey.
The Disneyland Connection
The design draws inspiration from the newly reimagined Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park. This family-friendly land features interactive play zones, character meet-and-greets, and the popular Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Sybil Crum, VP of marketing and commercial strategy at Disneyland Resort, shared: “The plane’s artwork captures the excitement and playfulness of the re-imagined Mickey’s Toontown.”
A Legacy of Disney Liveries
“Mickey’s Toontown Express” joins a growing list of Disney-themed planes in Alaska Airlines’ fleet. Previous designs have highlighted Pixar’s Toy Story characters and the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experience. These liveries celebrate Disney’s legacy and add fun to family travel.
