Before the gates officially open on November 20, 2023, thousands of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort cast members received a magical first look at World of Frozen during a heartwarming event dubbed โSummer Snow Day.โ
A Magical Preview
Over 11 #DisneyCastLife preview sessions welcomed cast members and their families into the epic world of Arendelle, inspired by Disney Animationโs Frozen films. For many, this was more than just a previewโit was a cherished memory in the making.
โThis is such a privilege and a magical moment for us,โ said Elysia Muirhead from Entertainment. โMy sister flew from Australia to join the preview! Iโll always cherish this memory with my family and friends.โ
Julie Correia, also from Entertainment, shared her excitement: โStepping into World of Frozen and seeing Arendelle come to life is like a dream come true. This was the very first time we experienced Frozen Ever After. It was so exciting!โ
First Coasters and Family Moments
For some young guests, the event marked a big milestone. Lorraine Leung from Park Operations proudly shared, โWandering Oakenโs Sliding Sleighs is the first coaster that my two daughters, aged three and five, have ever ridden! They were nervous stepping onto the ride, but they enjoyed it a lot.โ
Every Detail Brings Arendelle to Life
Kevin Lai from Hotel Operations noted the immersive experience: โThe citizens of Arendelle are very welcoming. Everything has such great details, and we took photos in every corner!โ
A Taste of Arendelle
Kristy Yu from Park Operations shared her culinary favorites: โWe tried the Coronation Sundae, Olaf Celebration Cupcake, and Olaf Snowflake Smultringer from Northern Delights. They are all delicious.โ
She also highlighted the merchandise: โThe Scandinavian gifts from Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles are attractive and splendidโwe canโt wait to bring them all back home!โ
Team Spirit in the Kingdom of Arendelle
Suki Hung from Financial Management, Alliances and Sourcing said, โItโs such an awesome experience to visit with my teammates wearing the cast exclusive t-shirts and taking snapshots in this picturesque place!โ
A Moment of Thanks
Leadership from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort also joined the fun. Rosalyn Woo, Director of Business Strategy & Integration, said. โI am so happy to be in costume to welcome the cast and their families to celebrate Summer Snow Day together.โ
