A Magical Tribute: Unveiling ‘Walt the Dreamer’ Statue at EPCOT on Walt Disney’s 122nd Birthday!

As the sun dipped below the horizon on December 4, 2023, anticipation and excitement filled the air at EPCOT, Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The occasion was nothing short of extraordinary – unveiling the all-new “Walt the Dreamer” statue, a magnificent tribute to the man whose dreams continue to inspire generations.

Beginning Dec. 5, in celebration of Walt Disney’s birthday, guests visiting EPCOT will be able to explore World Celebration Gardens including Dreamers Point, where they can sit beside a new statue of the original dreamer himself. The ceremony coincided with Walt Disney’s 122nd birthday. Cast Members, honored as recipients of the Walt Disney Legacy Award, were granted the privilege of being among the first to witness the grand reveal. Positioned at the heart of the all-new World Celebration Gardens, “Walt the Dreamer” became the instant focal point, capturing the essence of Walt Disney’s visionary spirit.

On Dec. 4, 2023 Walt Disney Legacy Award recipient Cast Members were among the first to see the all-new “Walt the Dreamer” statue that debuted as a focal point of the stunning World Celebration Gardens. In a memorable dedication moment, EPCOT Vice President Kartika Rodriguez was joined by the Walt Disney World Ambassadors, Imagineer Scott Mallwitz and the Voices of Liberty to celebrate the original dreamer, Walt Disney.
