Warm wishes from Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa! While winter in Hawai‘i may not bring snowflakes, it certainly delivers festive spirit—and this season, guests experienced something truly magical with the debut of He Mo‘olelo Hemolele Aulani, a brand-new holiday show rooted in Hawaiian tradition.

Cast members from various areas of Aulani Resort join in “He Mo’olelo Hemolele: A Story of Faith, Hope & Aloha”
A Celebration of Faith, Hope, and Aloha
Inspired by the beloved Candlelight Processional found at Disney Parks, He Mo‘olelo Hemolele: A Story of Faith, Hope & Aloha offers a uniquely Hawaiian take on the holidays. The show features traditional hula, Hawaiian chants, storytelling, and mele (music), all woven together in a heartfelt celebration of the season.
This limited-time experience brought together dozens of cast members from various resort departments, each sharing their culture and aloha spirit with guests.
“Being involved in He Mo‘olelo Hemolele has filled me with a sense of pride in our mo‘olelo (stories), leo (voices), mele (music), and hula (dance),” shared Charles Timtim of the Entertainment Activities team. “Now, guests can experience the holiday season from a distinctly Hawaiian view.”

Giant Mickey Sugar Cookies from Ulu Cafe are the perfect holiday treat
Aulani Resort Decorated in Holiday Cheer
Even if you missed the debut performance, you can still embrace the festive spirit throughout Aulani. The resort’s halls are decked with beautiful Christmas trees and garlands, creating a magical ambiance across the property. Stroll through tropical gardens while enjoying classic carols. And the sparkle of holiday lights, and even a giant Mickey sugar cookie from Ulu Café—yes, it’s as delicious as it sounds.
All this with temperatures around 80 degrees and views of the pristine Ko Olina lagoon? It’s the ultimate way to enjoy the season—Hawaiian style.
