As the countdown echoed through the parks, cheers erupted and thousands of cast members, friends, and families crossed the start line of the Be Well Holiday 5K. Decked in festive gear and bathed in the glow of Disney holiday lights, participants took strides toward wellness and joy.
This cherished early morning tradition saw more than 10,000 participants embrace the 3.1-mile journey. From California to Florida, and virtually from places like Hilton Head Island and Central Park to Oahu and Vero Beach, cast members everywhere sleighed their way to the finish line.

Running With Purpose and Community
Honored guests from the United States Marine Corps joined the 5K at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Their presence celebrated participants who generously supported the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, benefitting Toys for Totsโan initiative with roots in Walt Disneyโs original design of the Toys for Tots train logo over 75 years ago.
For Darlene Williams, a Disney Cruise Line vacation agent, the 5K marked another milestone in her personal wellness journey. With her partner, children, and best friend by her side, Darlene celebrated a 200-pound weight loss. Her motivation? Keeping up with her kids in the Disney Parks.

A Family Tradition That Grows Stronger
Hannah Torres, a Disneyland Resort cast member, returned for a second year alongside her family. Their first experience motivated them to train and return for more memories. Her mom, Molly, summed it up best: โSharing this time with our family is very special โ definitely something we look forward to year after year.โ
Families like the Torres clan reminded everyone that wellness comes in many forms, whether sprinting, walking, or laughing side by side through the parks before opening hours.

A Coast-to-Coast Celebration
Virtual 5K participants made the event global. Goofy cheered runners in Vero Beach, Pluto made an appearance at Hilton Head, and cast members in Times Square braved rainy weather in Central Park. At each location, cast teams showed up for one another with holiday spirit and heart.
Nissa Velez from the Times Square Disney Store shared how meaningful the event felt: โWe supported each other every step of the way. Itโs a reminder that we have to care about ourselves, even during the busiest times of year.โ

A Celebration That Gives Back
Beyond personal milestones, the Be Well Holiday 5K made a big difference. The toy donations collected during the event will bring joy to millions of children this season. Having the Marines run and cheer alongside participants only added to the power of the event, creating a memorable exchange of gratitude and inspiration.
This tree-mendous tradition proves that health and happiness go hand-in-hand. Whether youโre just getting your mistle-toes moving or running toward a wellness goal. Thereโs no better season to get active with loved ones and celebrate progress together.
