Epcot’s World Celebration Garden Opening Imagineering Panel

Welcome to the next chapter of EPCOT’s extraordinary transformation at Walt Disney World, the grand opening of the World Celebration Gardens, and Walt The Dreamer Statue, a pivotal milestone in the park’s multi-year evolution.

Walt’s demeanor reflects the pure optimism he envisioned for the future—a magical possibility that formed the foundation of the dream he had never witnessed come to life.

Beginning Dec. 5, in celebration of Walt Disney’s birthday, guests visiting EPCOT will be able to explore World Celebration Gardens including Dreamers Point, where they can sit beside a new statue of the original dreamer himself. The bronze statue titled “Walt the Dreamer” represents Walt later in his life when he was imagining ideas for the Florida Project and what ultimately became EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. World Celebration Gardens offers green spaces with abundant seating and shade, complemented by a central planter inspired by the iconic EPCOT logo’s five rings. Each garden space will evolve with the changing themes of EPCOT festivals throughout the year.
