Making today a perfect day every day at Hong Kong Disneyland are the citizens of Arendelle, the cast members now bringing World of Frozen to life for guests. During the grand opening festivities, they gathered for a special #DisneyCastLife tradition: a pep rally and group photo celebrating the inaugural team of cast members selected to open up the gates.
But among the “Frozen” stars and Disney leaders, you might not have noticed some of the familiar-looking faces hidden in plain sight! Thankfully, our frosty friends at the Hong Kong Disneyland Magic Post helped shine a spotlight to ensure they don’t get lost in the woods. Take a look!
They Must Be Royalty
Monica, a carver at Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles, arrived well in advance of the pep rally but never imagined it would lead to being surrounded by Disney luminaries. “I arrived at the Friendship Fountain very early and was hoping to see Queen Anna,” she said. “I didn’t expect that after the honorary guests finished speaking on stage, they would come down and stand on both sides of me.”
Monica ended up front and center in the group photo, between Anna and Elsa, whom she “had always dreamed of seeing. I was so happy and excited! They were so friendly, and talking to them was such a magical moment for me.”
Right behind Monica stood Bob Iger, chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company, and Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences. All good things, all good things.

A couple rows behind Monica was another very special guest—Mossie, baby troll and love expert in training, who learned more about the human world from cast on hand. “It was very fun that day,” said her nari (or teacher). “Mossie and I made many new friends!”
Looking Cool and Clean
Looking all the way to the back row, did the guy with the casual stretched arm, leaning-against-the-wall pose catch your eye? That’s Michael, who helps keep Arendelle clean with the Custodial team.
“Many citizens here are good friends of mine,” he said. “I saw them busy preparing for Summer Snow Day, so I often come over to help them out, hoping that every nook and corner will be clean and tidy to welcome visitors.” What a guy!
An Ambassador Alumnus
The current and incoming Disney Ambassadors representing Hong Kong Disneyland stand at both ends of the front row, but just behind Gisele and Tony on the far-right is Sammy Phu, Disney Ambassador 2017-18, who is now an attraction operations manager.
“I was very glad to witness the moment,” said Sammy, who was excited to also meet the incoming Global Disney Ambassador 2024-25 team at the grand opening, alongside his daughter, Louise (next to him on the left), a fellow cast member in Human Resources.
As a Manor of Fact …
Finally, you might have spotted a citizen of Arendelle who participated in another #DisneyCastLife moment this past summer. Toward the front-right is Annto, who represented Mystic Manor at our global gathering of Haunted Mansion cast representatives across Disney Parks for the world premiere of “Haunted Mansion” at Disneyland Resort.
“I am incredibly grateful that the celebration brought together some old and new friends,” said Annto, who enjoys traveling and making friends in new places. Consider it no surprise she and Taeny, her fellow “Haunted Mansion” premiere visitor, are now citizens of Arendelle—but don’t worry, both still visit Lord Henry and Albert back in Mystic Point, too.
