Good-to-Go Days & Park Hopper News and Updates: What to Expect at Walt Disney World in 2024

2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year at Walt Disney World Resort! From helpful updates for Annual Passholders to the return of beloved dining plans, thereโ€™s a lot in store. Hereโ€™s everything you need to know to make the most of your magical visit this year.

Good-To-Go Days Start January 11

Annual Passholders, get ready to enjoy more flexibility. Starting January 11, select dates will be marked as โ€œgood-to-goโ€ days. On these days, Passholders can enter the parks without needing a reservation (except during blockout dates). Youโ€™ll find these days listed on the theme park reservation calendar, the Passholder admissions calendar, and the My Disney Experience app.

Good-to-go days will be added regularlyโ€”sometimes days or even weeks in advance. If spontaneity is part of your Disney style, this is your moment!

All-Day Park Hopper Access is Back

Beginning January 9, guests with Park Hopper benefits can visit multiple parks at any time during park hours. Start your day at Disneyโ€™s Animal Kingdom and end with fireworks at Magic Kingdomโ€”all without waiting for a 2 p.m. window to switch parks.

Guests will once again be able to enjoy a trip aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad this holiday season at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. This opening-day attraction returns with a completely refreshed track looping the park and an all-new voiceover guiding guests as they travel from one magical land to the next. No Reservations Needed for Date-Based Tickets

Planning just got easier. Guests who purchase date-based theme park tickets no longer need to make separate reservations. This streamlines the process, giving you more time to focus on the fun.

Dining Plans Return

Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels can once again enjoy the Disney Dining Plan. Choose between two fan-favorite options: the Quick-Service Dining Plan or the standard Disney Dining Plan. Both offer excellent value, especially for families.

Tips for Using Your Dining Plan

  • Book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance (up to 10 days for resort guests).
  • Redeem meals and snacks at any time during your stay.
  • Track your meal credits in the My Disney Experience app.
  • Use mobile ordering to find nearby options compatible with your plan.

More Magic Coming Later in 2024

Stay tuned for even more magic, including the opening of Tianaโ€™s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and the completion of EPCOTโ€™s transformation. Itโ€™s a year of exciting changes and unforgettable experiences!
