Shanghai Disney Resort celebrated the opening of the world’s first Zootopia-themed land with a spectacular ceremony fitting for a city where anyone can be anything. Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ hit film “Zootopia,” the new land immerses guests in a vibrant, mammalian metropolis like never before.

As soon as guests step onto Mane Street, they are transported into a living, breathing city filled with stunning details. The land’s immersive storytelling creates a one-of-a-kind experience. Years in the making, Zootopia is the result of collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering, cast members, and Disney Animation artists from around the world. This dynamic team brought Zootopia to life using innovative design and state-of-the-art technology.

Zootopia: Hot Pursuit Attraction

The highlight of the land is Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. In this brand-new attraction, guests join Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde on a high-speed chase through the different districts of Zootopia. This action-packed ride features a cutting-edge trackless system and next-generation Audio-Animatronics. The result is an exciting and immersive experience from start to finish.

Live Entertainment and Themed Dining

Throughout the day, guests can enjoy surprise appearances from Zootopia residents in the windows of Zootopia Park Apartments. This atmosphere show brings the city to life with spontaneous character interactions.

Fashion-forward fans will love shopping at Fashions by Fru Fru, a boutique owned by Zootopia’s beloved fashionista. Guests can also grab a snack at the land’s walk-up dining spots, offering fun and flavorful options.

Jumbeaux’s Cafe, inspired by the fan-favorite location in the film, serves treats like Chocolate Marshmallows and Officer Clawhauser’s favorite Big Donut. Guests can cool off with the signature frozen Pawsicle at Zootopia Market, where four colorful shacks provide a variety of themed snacks.
